Cambois pier today

Yes whilst the world was coming to terms with the sudden snow fall i went onto the pier for the 1st time with a known fisherman in my parts (bedlington). Full blizard on as we went on at 12. his 1st cast (at the very end) caught a small codling (tossed back) so i thought here we go i may get my 1st catch worth mentioning as the bites were coming on all the time......well to cut a story short a and from changing from the end to the last windmill and back again we got nowt apart from my crab and another similar sized codling.. we would have moved to different locations but due to the conditions we tried to stay out of the extremes....I enjoyed my 1st visit as its yet another mark i have blanked but this all adds to my experiences.. if i can manage to venture out there today i'm sure there are many more chances for me...cheers for listening if you know what i mean

you still got to climb over the gates at the start (2 from wha i can recall) then the 3rd at the end?

do you have to venture down to the bottom or can you now get all along on the top?

been years since i have been on there lol

You must have been coming of as we went on last night we fished the end lug, rag, razor I got these two codling first hour and Richie fishie got a couple of tiddlers but saved his blank! I thought I might have got into something abit better but hey ho LOL.
To answer the previous question over first gate along to second down onto bottom through hole along to next windmill and back onto top which for a stretch is abit moth eaten then no gate at end anymore just have to say its a no no mark and use your common sense in bad conditions/tides etc no fish are worth a bad risk!!

Aye what a good crack on we had last night ive a cod on lol true true!! and yes you struck into codlings straight away and i had a few bite but with no connections but did put me in fast hads all the time! i think i was castin into a rocky area haha and ive a cod on was castin whay further than me and avoidin the rocks although he did get snagged a few times but the one you lost mate was a shocker like! anyway time goes by & tide was comin back in so decided to fish the shallow rocks and hey presto!! caught 2lil codlings but needed another 4 to be the same weight as ive a cod on 2 codlins lol also got a eater crab but was very small so returned it bk to get bigger very enjoyable night! nice to meet ya ivan and thanks for all thoughs tips n information u were the bigger man last night thumbs up!!

And the pier is abit worn down but just be careful when going on, dont go on at high tide or a big swell its your life at the end of the day and the sea will win:exclam: as ive a cod on says its fine once you hop over the gate, down some ladders, through a hole in the gate, up some more ladders then a short walk along the pier to the light house.. once there and if conditions are spot on you'll have a enjoyable-relaxing night mate give it another try some other time and you might have a better sesh!
