me and a pal fished cambois tonight, off the rocks and into the kelp.
couple of hrs down and the same up.
had bites and fish straight away, i managed 1 decent size codling, my mate had 6, 1 undersize and 5 size to just over 2lb.
most red cod, but a few fresh run fash aswell.

on a range of baits, from crab, mussel and lug.

had a few cracking rod bending bites, slack liners but never turned any fish up. for some reason, they seemed to be more confident in the daylight rather than the dark? lol

started off a cracking night, then the rain came and the wind picked up and changed direction, if it stays that way, there should be a nice sea running ;D

didnt loose any leads or rigs.

saw a few guys fishing a newbiggin comp.

my mate has pics on his phone, might get them up on here.

thats it from me lol

are you talking about the part below the windmills? just trying to work out which rocks.. sounds like a good session, nice one. encouraging words, what i need to hear.

yes mate, it was just behind the 2nd and 3rd windmill.
on the sea side. i do believe that is know as cambois hole ;D

Nice one mate, there's definitely a few fish out there at the moment. Time to break out the winter gear!

Cheers, Gary :)

been doing really well over the last 6 weeks!
had better fish and alot more than i did last winter season lol
watch out ;D

get in might try down there sometime and a big well done:D were yous off the big long rock when low tide kicks in just in front of the 2nd windmill?, u might of hit the channel m8ty:rolleyes:

ritchy bud,
we fished right behind the 3rd windmill.
big rock just in front of us, i wacked a bait right out. never got many bites from far out, most of them were 100yds or less, even had a few chucks a few rod lentghs out.
all ended up with knocks.
my mate was getting them with just a overhead lob ;D

saw a lad and his mate fishing the bottom of the ramp at the rail crossing before the start of the windmills yesterday, wonder if he stayed or caught. also saw a few others fishing the north side marks on the river and a few on the pier at blyth yesterday but heard nothing.

Blyth Pier was a bit dead last night mate. Was on from 8pm till 4am, and only got two rockling and a 2 inch long cod (smallest cod I have ever seen) One guy got a canny lobster though.
