Down here a few of the locals use circle shaped bomb leads, apparently they are easier to get unstuack out of the rough ?

they are made from DB moulds I think, originally for boat fishing I think ?

seems a good idea though, its probably easier to free a football shaped lead than it is a gripper !!!!

I\'ve heard this about round leads, but I\'ve never tried them.

The grip wires on sinkers are supposed to stop the lead slipping into narrow cracks (no smart comments please). Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn\'t.

I still think a couple of spark plugs is the best bet for really rough ground, where distance casting isn\'t an issue.

just look for that tackle shop in eastbourne sussex, think its called DB weights they sell moulds but not cheap, £35 but worth it
