Canny codling off roker pier last neet.

A lad caught this codling off Roker last neet when i was on,caught on lugworm.

So do they open up the pier on the night and just close it during the day for the airshow? I thought it was closed completely for two days so never even thought about going fishing there. Canny codling that though for the time of year.

Looks to be around the 4-5lb mark, I had one just over 5lb on a spinner a couple of years ago from Seaham pier. I nearly had a heart attack when it surfaced, my biggest that winter was only 3lb.

One of the lads caught a couple of cod about 4lb each on daylights at the same time when we were fishing off Craster. Bet we were only a mile or two out.
