Canny ling by old man on yak

Report from my old man - caught a canny ling today when i was away on a charter at seahouses!


With a forcast of virtually no wind got out of bed 5am, launched 6.30 and paddled out to fish some reefs/wrecks around the 20/30mtrs ,2-3ml off ,third reef scored another species for this year.

Bingo target species of the day ;D,watch those teeth

14lb weighed at local tackle shop.

Beautiful day ideal conditions doesnt come any better

Small Ling caught earlier 4-5lb sent back for luck

Few cod to 4lb as a bonus ;D ;D

Looking happy ;D

Great Catch, Great Photos, but it puts the BRAD PITTS up Me, being that far out by yourself, summik eary, and a cudnt dee it. Total soft lad ! haha

Great stuff!!

How the hell did you pacify that ling on a Yak? We give them a bump on the head but that usually just makes them angry and they thrash about all over the boat.
