can't wait

been down to beach this morning, you could be disappointed this weekend quite a cold breeze coming directly off the sea and putting a few white horses up, hope it drops for the weekend

So do I pal. Early start for us Sunday, so hoping for a nice day, quite a flat sea and a few fish showing.

Been out today and its not improved from the wrecks only 8 fish between 3 of us, in the morning it was unfishable really with a strong south wind, white tops all over and a ebbing tide had the drift at 2-2.6knots for over 3 hours. The afternoon it was a good drift but nothing showing really....rough ground for me in the morning...i have at last chcuked the towel in on the wrecks...will let someone else do the recon work for the next week or so :)

Worst algae blossom ever. Just when that one settled, a freak 4m swell stirred all up and we got a second bloom.
That all is worsened by cold water. Everything seems a knock-on from that horrible 2012 weather

Good news is that sea is warming up eventually and unless another swell comes up that dreadful green water clears.

My forecast: mackerels sttarting in numbers from the weekend 15.06
Wreck fishing from middle of next week

can get picture and name if i get permission alan lad that posted it was a friend not sure if the lad caught it is on the fishermans locker am sure the fish pic will be floating around from stealers lol

Cant get to the cod today Alan for all the massive mackerel around...and no i am not kidding full houses every drop, re-stocked for the winter in under 1 hour :)...shame it lashed it down and 9ft waves at least.

Seen pics of big cod caught yesterday out of Blyth , must been good 14 pound , dont know if it the same one as mentioned
