Been on the field tonight after an early finish using a 5oz weight I thought I'd try out some of the rods......
Sk3 I was giving all Iv got & reckon was less than 100yds
Next tried the zeteque txl, better but not much of an improvement,
Then tried the m4 evo and almost emptied the spool on my slosh20 with 25lb mono & 50lb shock

Iv read about lots of people using braid, is it as good as they say?
The m4 has reel in low down position could that be the difference? Or is the zeteque too stiff for me?
What are your thoughts???

Maybe because reel was down and m4 loads up right down the but then it goes some, maybe you didn't quite load up txl with it being stiffer, and sonic well crap really don't load that up it'll snap. Bet txl with reel down and a good fast wallop would go even further, my m4 evo prefers a slow start into cast and faster through to end

Maybe get one of the casting lads to take a look at you and give you some pointers

You cast further with m4evo because its a lot softer rod than the txl.the other lad is reet that txl is a poker. Think its the one I had and it give me a hernia lol. Infact think a lamp post bends more.i repeat u have to at least put some bend in the rod to catapult the lead away. Simples.
