went down their today to have alook and see if it was open. no, the bugger was shut, what for, the sea was flat as a f#rt. i looked at the shipping forecast on bbc's website and it reckons no more than the sea will be slight, which means as you all know, flat as a mill pond.
who is in control of this friday night ruining shambles.

i also looked down before heading to another mark just incase they opened it and it was closed at 5pm but nevermind i managed a codling at 2lb .15 so a start to the new year

the pier was fine all night ,once again the port authority got it wrong, and it stayed shut,a few lights on the south though!!!got 3 coalies and a rockling ...the rockling put up a hell of a fight though (lol).......

fished last two hours on beach between the piers, not even a bite, only 0ne codling about 3lb taken all night, but nevermind there will be other days....

i cant say ive ever seen owt caught between the piers but what else can you do. i would imagine the topic of closing roker pier is old ground well covered.

nice to hear mate, nice to hear.
what type of end rig had you been using at the cat and dogs, is it rotten bottom stuff and are you looking for a big cast to try and clear the rocks or is it just a lob.

did'nt lose any gear all night. its hit and miss with the rocks there is sand patchers around the rocks. if you have not fished there before go down at low water and youwill see where the rocks are and where the sandy patchers are it changers all the time with the tide some days i can lose gear and some i dont.

cat and dogs = bit of a waste of time now over high water i'm affraid...live 100 yards away...can throw up the odd bass, but mainly coalies
