catch a cod

where is the best place to go to catch cod this time of year not boat can u get them at places like the walkway got crab blacks rag and mussel

Up the Northumberland coast mate - Howick, Craster, Newton, Beadnell, Seahouses, Eyemouth, St Abbs etc...closer to home maybe St Mary's Island or Newbiggin rock edges.

anywhere really, I got one off roker pier, they are being caught off shields pier as well as seaham, really just right place, right time, right bait.

As gary said your better stamp of fish will come from northumberland. The walkway might throw the odd cod out this time of year but will be max 2lb ish

The block at newbiggin under the hut/bungalow had 2 yesterday afternoon take a lot of leads!!!

Eyemouth been hoying a lot of smaller cod " but av seen a few canny sized kelpies too just not on my hook
