not mine though! Saddled with more pansy shaped torture, the bairn, bless him, stuck at home, toddles off down the wear (stanhope stretch) with his mate, one of my fly rods and a few assorted bits n bobs....

sent me a text 'caught a canny brownie', yeah right sez I and thought no more of it, gets home and this lad is sat in the sink, a shade under 2lb!!

loads in the pool he was fishing as well by all accounts, but the wee bugger won't tell me where it is, they had a quite a few, all released except this one, which now in the smoker!

beats my best brownie from this stretch as well, a fact he'll probably not let me forget for a long long time!
