Catch you all soon.

Cheer's lads, catch you all in a week.

Jim.

God Speed young Jim.

What's all this catching us thing though. I am a particularly wily beast much like the Salmon / Great White Shark / Seahorse / Peregrine Falcon. I only rise to a select bait presented well after a strong NE'sterly with a slight ripple on an oily flat sea. It must be ledgered on a popper and fresh not frozen. "You won't catch me I'm part of The Union"

Not drunk

Any union what is pronounced "Nuj" has got to susceptible to the odd wink wink. Do not join the BAJ they expect all Jokers to have their own bells, hats pointy shoes and the ilk. The IJA is much less horrific (International Jokers Association .(PPaaarrpppp)) sorry for the plug (HEE HEE) I got a clown mixed up with the joker there sorry.

I mean jokers like Timothy Claypole and his crew.

Cracking time mate, weather wasn't bad at all and the crack was excellent. Plenty of alcohol and good food and we were lucky enough to miss the massive storm three days before we went lol.

Jim.

Cheer's Ali, just trying to get caught up with things tonight as I have been out most of the day lol. Loads of Emails and PMs to answer, just about sorted now so looking to get out fishing again.

Lmao Steve, it was VERY nice mate, twice.

Jim.

nice to hear you had a good time jim, and you missed the storms. that bad weather hit crete last week 14 died as there were major floods and land slides, my mate was over here with us at the time so lucky he missed them but was telling us that they are never prepared as most of the year crete has great weather with little or no rain.

Aye Mark, I heard that Greece was hit even worse than Turkey. It must have been terrible after what I heard had happened in Marmaris. They have lots of flood chanels but they were all overflowing. The water was about waist deep down near the front of the resort where it had run down from the hills at the back.

The locals said it was the worst storm they had ever seen. For quite a while they said there was just continuous lightening both forked and sheet and the whole sky was lit up, amazing to watch but a bit on the scary side. Boats were tipped over in the bay and there was damage to a lot of places. Three days later apart from a few wet grassy areas and flattened crops, you wouldn't have known it had happened.

Jim.

its sad jim, i think most of the accidents were trafic related with the roads flooding. like you said though the roads dry up very quickly and when you wake up in the morning you wouldn't think there had been a storm the day before.
i think it was last year when we were in hania there was a storm and the sea picked up, we sat on our hotel balcony watching the waves comming over the harbour wall and rolling into the outside bars and cafes, ive never seen the greeks move so fast to try and brush the water back out, it was quite funny to watch though lol

cheers

I was told that all of the staff where we were staying were up and down the stairs with towels mopping up the water. The sad thing about it, it was pouring down those stairs like a river.

Jim.
