A boat competition in aid of the memory of Cedric Bilverstone, many may not know the name but he was a cornerstone in protecting the rights of anglers and promoting small boat angling. The competiton takes place on Sunday 5th August, boats will meet at Tyne piers at 8am with the weigh in at the Friars Goose Boat Club, Green Lane, Felling at 4.30pm. registration forms from the Frairs Goose bar or by phoning 07717350611. Fished on a heaviest fish basis 1st £100, 2nd £50, 3rd, and £20 for the most unusual species. There will also be a buffet and raffle after the weigh in.
