I bought a 28.1mm reel seat for my komp as mk2 and its 2 big the 27mm was the right size but I couldn't get it over the metal band

Yes the rod would be a 30mm butt size. Taking size 30 coasters, size 26 reelseat, 28mm shrink and a size 25 but cap.

meaSured the reel seat thats fitted and its 28.1 , the butt has electricians tape on , so id assume the butt is actually 26mm .
