Hi Guys, Thinking about investing in a new rod, been looking at the C-Curves ??
Must be a few of the people using them now, just wondering what people thought of them - pros and cons etc !!!!!
Just be fishing the rock edges/rough ground/piers etc !!!!!!
Thanks in advance.

Had one, would use it for rough rock marks but will handle mixed stuff... Piers etc. I was suprised at how well they cast... Don't think u would be disappointed.

Depends which c curve your talking about ? If its the Excalibur c curve then someone else may help you with that. I use a c3ld and it's a little gem of a rod, deceptively powerful it handles 200g plus a massive bait with ease as well as heavier leads as well. To cast it is easy, just wind it up and watch it go. This is where the c curve comes in, as long as you take your time it just loads. Some will say it's a bit 'soft' for rough ground but I would say it handles it no bother at all, it's a great all rounder. The tip stands firm in all weather. And bite are telegraphed through the blank well if your holding the rod as well as in the stand. I did think about swapping mine but after reminding myself how nice a rod this is I'm keeping it !

Hi Nicky, Yeah its the Excalibur C-Curve I was on about.
Had a go of my mates the other day and it seems to cast very well, but casting and fishing
not same same!!!! Just wondering how they performed when fishing, just seem to be a J curve when fishing and C curve when casting????????

Davey

cracking ,best casting rod ive tried, reel seat leaves a lot to be desired for such a quality rod though.excalibur c curve that is.

Hi Tony,
I dont think the casting quality of the rod is in doubt, my mate has one and he CAN put a
lead out !!!!!
I was just trying to get peoples opinion of them as a fishing rod, can they cope with the ruff stuff etc etc etc????????

Davey

wouldn't say that they are an out n out rough ground rod but def mixed ground.
stick with my battered ttr for the rough.

agree with all you say about c3ld. very underated

its hard to say what a rod will do as myself i dont think you need a pole vault rod for fishing rough ground but thats just my opion, c curve is a brilliant all rounder but again just my opion .
