have a Excalibur TT which I just bought on Monday, had a couple of chucks and its probably a bit too powerful for my casting style. its not got a mark on it and is as bought in shop, bag, reducer and warranty card still attached to bag with tie wrap. it was manufactured at 14ft 4in same as ttr as 14ft 10 is way too long cost £550 looking for £500. Good saving on shop price.

hi kev how you doing .

Lads keep it sweet and stop having fanny fights on my for sale thread. If your not interested in purchasing dont comment.im not been nasty just honest. For the 2nd time I did try one but this one is stiffer than the one I tried.

Cosmic if you new what your talkin about well done, but obviously you don't,can you do 300yds I think not. this lad has done the big 300 so dream on and don't criticise a top bomber:)

not being funny mate and im sorry for sticking my nose in when I shouldn't but if you can cast 300yds but cant get away with this rod what chance has anyone else got with it? was saving up for a tt but think ill look for something different now

good question mick that I will answer.... the rod is too stiff for my personnel fishing style which is a fishing pendulum cast. the txl gt I have is also a powerful rod but bit less power than this tt. the one I cast before I ordered one wasn't as stiff so you do get differences in the same rod, distance has nothing to do with it, I know people who can cast 80 yards and are using rods as stiff as this. its there choice wot they feel happy and comfortable using. this rod would suit a hell of a lot of people who want a lobbing rod for 60yd rock end casts,
thanks for the little BTT and heres another.
to be honest mick the rod is a very nice rod have a look at one if that's wot yr saving for. I can cast and use the rod just initial thoughts are the txl gt is a more useable rod for me, BUT if it don't sell then I have no problems keeping it and using next year for rockmarks and cliffs where it will excel

thanks for the excellent reply stephie and for showing me the bigger picture mate, sorry for my ignorance, your spot on in everything you say. I cant get anywhere near 300yrds (hats off to you:)) so it just made me think that if someone who can cast that far but not get away with the tt then what chance have us mere mortals! lol but ur right in what you say, still a top class rod. cheers mick

Thanks stan. Yes appreachable saving on shop price.gonna leave it for sale for 24hrs thennif not gone, im gonna keep it for the rough stuff.

Keep the rod give it the winter you wont get a better rod in my opinion great rod for the kelp the cliffs heavy ground change your casting style a propper mans rod it wont bend in half with a good fish on

Lance I am keeping the rod. This thread is 3 months old .resurrected by someone yesterday. Dont need to change my casting style. If I cant bend it not many will. I'll live with the stiffness. But like said months ago this one seems stiffer than rest.
Please put this thread to bed thanks
