Why was it manufactured short.
What section is the reduction off, butt or tip.
What effect does this shortened length have on the rods characteristics, ie is it stiffer.
What Kwags are they stainless steel or titanium.

Hi there. Because I asked century to manufacture at that length.its a standard rod but the butt is 6 inches shorter .same as a ttr.the reducer is cut to 8 inches and is in the bottom of the butt. This makes it an inch or two longer than std. Cutting the butt shorter cannot make the rod any stiffer as no more material was added to the butt and the reducer does the same thing as the material missing. I felt that 14ft 10 was too long for a powerful rod anyway. Like previously stated it was manufactured at this length.
