whats the going rate on them, just some kid at work is selling one. need to know im not gonna get ripped off

i still use a Century formula one for the really heavy ground,still a good rod ,more than capable of pulling anything through heavy kelp ......

Lots of different century formula models, some are still quite desireable.

Ducky, Century Formular is a brand name.

The Formular range of rods included the following:
Formula One. Grand Slam. F40. Long Eze sport and match. Slammer. Tiger. SC6 sport.as well as one or two even older models.

What you need to find out is what model the rod is.

got a old century ignitor great rod.i have had formula rods in the past, i would only pay 80 squid if it was in pristine condition.50,60,70 that would be thwe highest i would go.good rods but old .thats my opinion.formula one rod great rod bakbone of century long time ago.century slammer more of a flattie rod but i have caught some good fish on them when i first fished.long easy if i remember right the use to have a habit of breaking.the rest of the century range i know little about except the ignitor which i still have. again another good rod but only 11ft i think.

cheers terry for that,.. ill just have to wait and see what he brings in if i'm honest i don't think he has a clue what it is, hes been gave it and just wants shot of it.

ive just purchased one from a friend,can someone help me out,the rods got no rings on it,i need to know how many rings it has and distance please
its a 12.6ft fixed spool

the ... formula ... was a range of rods.

i still have the original tip tornado, that later bacame the sport.

there was quite a range of rods that came under the ..formula .. banner.

what the rod your looking at will handle will depend on the actual model.

also remember.... the formula,s are very old rods now and built before autoclaving.

there age will mean that like mine, lots will have gone soft through age and use.

my tip tornado is now very soft in the tip and nothing like a recent tip sport. it does make an excellent clean ground, match rod.

I use the Formula Fireblade Sport, no one mentioned this rod so does that mean its one of the older models??

Bought a sc6 sport which was a fixed spool rod for 40 quid used it once and it had gone soft so give it to brother.

that was a fantastic rod. i loved mine until it went too soft so sold it.
