Excellent rods if it's the heave duty shoreline it's based on the kompressor but been stiffens slightly.

John Laidler (Sports & Leisure/McDermotts) and John Bohill (ID Tackle) had these rods made by Century exclusively for their own shops in a joint venture in the late 90's. They were reckoned to be an excellent rough ground rod by all the people I've ever spoken to who have used them. They were priced considerably lower than most of the recognised branded rods on the market at the time making them very attractive to a lot of people.
