I prefer to wear stocking foot breathable waders and wading boots with studs in for extra grip. They aren't as restrictive as neoprenes and much more pleasant to wear when walking to rock marks, especially during warmer weather. Airflo and Scierra make breathable waders at reasonable prices.

A few of my mates have these and say they are the dogs bollocks.Not cheap but will out last a lot of others.

Very hard to say, as it all comes down to personal preference - a lot of people I know like their rubbers in the winter..Oceans, Vass etc. but I swear by my neoprenes for the winter (Sonik, just about finished their 3rd winter and still in good shape!). I had issues with the boots failing on a couple of pairs of Greys so after mucho repairing with Stormseal they're now relegated to crabbing/digging duties only.
In the summer I tend to wear a pair of the studded Vass waders - again about 3 years old now & no leaks. The thing with these is they suffer from a lot of "knee-flap" when walking and are well baggy - maybe good if you're of "fuller figure"…but they're a lot cooler to walk any distance in than neoprenes in the summer.
I've also got a pair of the Scierra breathables with wading boots which are possibly the best for the summer - although as I tend to be fishing largely areas with very sharp rocks in the summer, I'm a bit wary of ripping them as they're probably the most easily damaged. The boots are great though - I got a pair of Korkers which have interchangeable soles, so I've got plain rubber (great on smooth rocks, so long as it's dry) as well as studs; best of all for the really slimy, slippery rocks are the felt/stud combination. With the plain soles they also make the most waterproof option instead of wearing salopettes - none of which I've found to be particularly waterproof, and they also give you the option to enter the water and stay dry if needed. Great when fishing for reddies in the summer in a t-shirt when all your mates are peeling down their neoprenes lol!

I got some non-studded Ocean waders from rutherfords in Sunderland for 69.99 last week, he had the studded in as well for 79.99. I got them for beach fishing so didnt bother with the studs.
I phoned around all the shops for the vass 700's but nowhere had them, most shops had the 740's in but at £100.
The Ocean ones seem really good quality, and get loads of good reviews. Used them tonight on shields beach (but blanked
