A very fine Dover Sole was caught by Rod Gillmore (rod the cod ) 1lb 5oz what a cracker .
And well done to Paul (on a roll) Wastell on setting the bench mark for this season.

Christened the new rod an reel with this fish was a good fight all the way in....good start to the season and great company...:)

A cosy night in with the amber nectar for me! Ive fished in some bad weather but its wild out there today. I work at the Port of Tyne and its been blowing straight easterly and the rain has been horizontal. If it had been high water then i would have been holed up somewhere trying to wet a line.
