Clipped down rig

Having always used a clipped down pulley when fishing the last few times out with braid the hook is coming out of the bait clip mid flight anyone else found this?

Phil blanchard and pye had the same problem when they started with braid
mate so now i make there baitclips a tad longer problem solved.

gary told me on the beach it works to a point but sometimes they dont release.

like your leads geordie very good they get a very good hold wth heavier wire in them.

me too, the rigs i use with mono dont always stay clipped with braid especially imps on an up/over and the loop and pin pulley , usually come undone at the top of the arc with braid ???

Yea exactly the same never had a problem with mono but just about everyone comes out with braid.

long tailed leads work better wth f/spools and braid they fly straighter and dont wobble as much.

Cleggy and dean fished today mate first time for ages cleggy was hungover and dean got bored so they packed up after 3-1/2 hours 2 crazy people

could always revert back to the pva tape instead of bait clips like what we used yrs ago still carry it round wth me.

barney still doing ok not getting out as much though.think the pva was given to me off barney i keep think of using it again wth these fspools been a pain.
