not possible to say if it is right rod for you or not, , but i;ve used a crest on shields pier for 4 year now and never had problem with it, lot of guys use the crest and other similar lengh rods on pier and not have any problems and even know of a couple of guys whon have used a 15' rod , also the crest is capable of handling any beach and rough ground as well. but if you not sure what you want you nave a tough task ahead of you as most popular make of rods like centuary, zippy, greys, conoflex a and a couple of other makes all have the ability to handle the noth east coast, take a trip along pier and have talk to some of lads that fiush the pier and ask their advice to see if that helps you

as for the price for a good second hand rod, depending on condition and what rod any where from £120 +

but if your lucky like i was a few weeks ago a managed to pick up a greys mk1 apollo for £60

Hi mark am selling the wr300, stan and bob are good lads and would never diss anyones rod, so its left for me to say if you like the carbon metal crest i dont think you would like the wr300 .

I had a cmc 3 years ago and sold it, it was an average diameter rod by that i mean 26mm reel seat gones on it, quite stiff nice tip action with power reserve but its not an overkill for codling, whitting, coalies and flatties, and will handle the big fish when they come along.

When our lass says your not going fishing in this weather you must be mad force 8 northeastery gale, snow freezing in the dark thats why i got the wr300 its the mike tyson of rods just over 13ft thinker diametre 28mm but one purpose cod rod !.

Your welcome to have a look at the wr300 i just dont want you to buy something your not happy with mate.

Cheers
Davey
