years ago fishing the mersey i took a largish cod, 7 1/2 lb, when i got it in the geedy swine had a mouthfull of small whiting, no doubt they been sniffing around my bait and became part the attraction of my hookbait or possibly was the bait the cod wanted and my hook was accidently snaffled as well

Totally gobsmacked !!! i honestly didn't think cod could move so fast, they always seemed a slow and cumbersome fish to me.
