Cod Netting

Heard today that there was a ban on cod netting till christmas ??? also heard off someone else that a local netter had put nearly six mile of nets up from st marys to castle rocks anyone else heard anything ????

Whilst eating my fish and chips with my dad last Wed watched a little open boat with a small outboard, off the rocks by the pilot pier pulling in nets. Must have only been ten yards off the rocks at low tide.
I took aim with my fingers for a few seconds.
The nets looked twisted and torn and the two blokes on the boat did not look like kids. The nets had small orange plastic float balls attached.
No wonder we cannot catch fish of the Pilot no more.
