had a few sessions in the kelp around seahouses/beadnell way. plenty fish kicking about.
anyone know what the best sea state is for fishing the gulleys? i seemed to do better on the day when the sea wasn't as rough but i'm just wondering if that was a coincidence.
bottom fish is scotty's before he thinks i'm trying to claim it:p . please don't turn this into a argumentative/****taking thread or it will be deleted.

Not sure about Seahouses but I've always done better at Beadnell in or just after a good SE blow at night. No point in a Northerly too much weed. They look quite red thoughbsonprob been in those gullies a while. Nice fish.

During the summer months its best fished flat calm during daylight but once you start to get towards november onwards it fishes better with a sea running and darkness

quite new to fishing so just trying to learn - pulley rigs sounded complicated but looking into them they sound good
