Hellooooooo.....

Fished codgers this afternoon from 4.30pm till 9.30pm with me good pal waco. May have been 3 of us if goose09 was fishing but he has unfortunately chiped a bone in his elbow and cannot fish for a while:(, hopefully he'll get better soon. :)

Anyways, we fished an ebbing tide and the fishing was slow to begin with. We had too fish away from codgers for an hour or so as there was a lot of other anglers, never seen the place that busy:confused:.

Once we got onto the corner though from the forst cast the rods were away, plenty small and some decent bites to keep us happy.

Between me and waco we had 3 species each. Waco had 2 coalies, 1 eel and 1 whiting. I myself had 3 coalies, 1 flounder and a 1 small codling. Nothing of size bar waco's whiting (i think) and my flounder. :)

Packed up as the wind completely dropped and river was like a millpond, glistening with all the reflections of lamposts, etc.:red:

A cracking end to a canny little session.

BRING ON THE CLEADON CLUB MATCHES NEXT WEEK!!! :D

I as soon as we moved onto the corner we instantly got bites, mind you we punched the bait that bit extra distance seemed to do the trick.

Fresh crab certainly did the business too. :)

Also, P.S. g.ordon, codgers corners (also known as brighams), is the next point between the angel statue and the dis-used call centre down on the tyne. This give u a good idea of where it is buddy?

Yes that area is canny mate, I have a few friends who have fished there and its usually good.

Mainly a good mark for Plaice, flounders and dabs with it being sandy, but sometimes during the flooding tide the odd sizeable codling can be pushed past your awaiting hookbait. ;)
