Fished with Keith last night and although the sea was in good nick, there were no Cod knocking about. Managed four Coley's all returned apart from one which was belly hooked, lunch today :p .

Started off with Mussel and Crab baits and despite a few knocks no fish, tried Lug and Razor and no knocks lol. Changed over to Lug and Crab and caught all of the fish on that.

Parky sods these fish lol. Will try again tonight I think though.

Jim.

Maybe it was a bit too cold for the fish inshore last night, it was baltic! They just don't seem to be turning up whatever the conditions. I fished for 4 hours until 8pm and decided a few pints in the local was a better idea.

We were nearly down colleywell last night Jim but chickened out at the last min, got some bait to use up so might be out tonight cos according to one wind map it's force 6/7 all weekend

good on ya for having a go jim and keith, was it cold lol, cos it was on tuesday night. i wish i had bought some of them red hot hand warmers as my fags and lighter did nothing to keep me warm.

cheers

I think it felt so mild only because there was no wind at all where we were fishing. My car was registering -1 untill I got closer to home and then it was -3 lol.

Fished the boat house last night - loads of weed and strong tide on the ebb. Ended up losing every rig (4) I casted!!!

Did feel mild considering it was -1.....

Collywell

Was there myself right hand side of south ramp perfect conditions but only coalfish same as you!
Trying whithouse sands and Hauxly sat. night hopefully will get among them this time .

Tried it tonight with jac on the shingle beach 2 hours before high water and bumped into kieth and jim. The sea looked perfect and bottem of the ramp was sheltered from the wind but went home after 2 chucks cos the bay was chocka with weed. Jac did manage a tommy on first retrieve tho' (grrrrrrrr), outfished again!!! But the beers are going down well

Lol Graham, we had an attack of common sense and went home. A lot of miles for nothing but couldn't find anywhere that looked like it would fish.

Hope you didn't go for a swim tonight mate. :D :D :D :D

Jim.
