Fished the flood from 6.30am on sat 24th with me bro who laffed his head of when I got caught by a wave after only being there 15 mins, soaked thru. But wasnt long when the same happened to him.
Sea had a big swell and the grippers were struggling to hold the bottom.
Wasnt long until 2 seals were hovering 300 yds out, so wet, cold and without a fish we packed up had a look at Hartley (caught a cracking codling there2 weeks ago) as thought island may have broke the swell but it hadnt so ended up at North Shields Quay.
1 small whiting to me bro n I blanked but lost 5 rigs n weights between us as snaggy as anything.(near to ice house).
Still it was 6 hours out the house.
