Had a visit yesterday with my mate. Cracking spot and sea looked spot on. First cast had a small Codling on bluey. Tried big baits all afternoon such as bluey, Squid and mackeral. But caught nothing else. My mate blanked. Another couple of lads fishing near us had a couple of small codling and a Coalie. Left as it was turning dark and tried beach between Boulmer and Alnmouth but sea full of weed which snagged us up. Left about 8pm feeling bit fed up-still nee decent Cod. Roll on Norway.
There was a lot of fresh water pouring into area by all of the rain so i am unsure if this would have made any difference.

I also used 50 lb braid on my Abu 7000 whih seemed ok but rod did tend to bounce about a bit.

Colournose always look a dream setting, especially when there's abit sea on!!! Never produces for me, I've had 1 keeper cod out of 10 sessions and that was during summer...

Aye spelt it wrong lads but you know where i mean. Canny spot but long way from home.

Would have loved the blacks but none do be had.
