Coming back!!

Hi all!!

Not been sea fishing seriously for years, (more than I care to remember) mixture of work n family and not having time LOL

But past few months Ive wanted to get back more and more, so lately Ive just started to get myself some gear together.

Mainly used to go to South Shields pier, North Shields fish quay, few trips to blast beach (think thats its name) blyth etc.

Have noticed now the Tyne is popular, hebburn/jarrow way?

So anyone offer anymore places to go to "ease" myself back in to it??

there's been the odd cod caught up river and pier its the same every were take your chance or go to catch reports that might help with were to go im off to pier thurs night take my chance they have to show soon its been 7 weeks since l had a decent nights fishing good luck m8

Yip the fishing has died right off now as it has for the last few years at this time of year.

Don't let it put you off tho as if you target the right species (flatties) you will still get a few and still the odd codling showing.

There is also the chance now of the 1 big fish as they will be coming in to spawn.

They are catching a few whities South of the tyne by the look of the last open results.

The last few years has fished very well from Sepetmber till mid December North of the tyne but went quiet after that.

To follow on from Greg, the summer will soon be here and there's plenty of fishing for Coaly, Pollack, wrass, macky, and bass all on our doorstep.

Ive dusted me old 6500 c3 and Shakespeare Maxcast off

went a bit ott and have bought 2nd hand sl30sh, 525 mag extra, and a 7ht

oh and also a rt carbostick:red:

hoping these will do for a while til I get back amongst the fish!!

Gonna give possibly Hebburn?jarrow way a go this weekend

Aint heard about much being caught round jarrow way but no rain for awhile so your set like, Should be the odd codling you know te marks round jarrow/hebburn area? Phillitofish has a nice bing map link in his signature which has all the named spots, Good luck mate

Few hours out today at hebburn marina.

Was quite suprised how I got the hang of casting again!!

One birds nest and snap off (trying too hard too early)

and after a while I was having to hold back and slow the spool in case I hit shepherd offshore. LOL
