Hiya,

A few of you already know this, but it wont work until we get the right people to join ;)

In short, given the number of moans about the lack of feedback from the tagging programme, since nothing seems to be happening at the Museum side I\'ve decided to try and do something to help give feedback. The idea is if you catch a tagged fish then you would post the details on the forum. Then who ever tagged the fish can give the basic info of when & where it was tagged, so everyone wins.. fingers crossed.

I have uploaded quite a few of my recaptures awaiting feed back, please feel free to do the same.

Btw you can only see the tagging part if you register on the site.

taking the boat up to arnmaurchan from the 14 th for a week or 3, and was planning to have a bash for the odd skate or 2, be nice to think I might pull in a tagged \'un. I\'m sure it would be obvious, but what eaxctly is recored ont he tags, that needs noting, is it just a number?

fingers crossed I\'ll be able to contribute something, will be having a go both sides of the peninsula, sunart, sound of mull, and across towards eigg and the oberon bank

Hiya mark,

there should be plenty of tagged skate in those areas, that\'s where the tagging started. As for the tags themselves, they are either yellow and about 4\" long or Red and 6\" long. They should be inserted in the lower half of either of the wings. Quit often if they have been in for a while the get covered with algae etc so will need cleaned . All you need off it is the Tag Number, record the details of the skate and post them.. simple :)

I\'m hoping to get back out that way as soon as get a decent spell of weather :)
