they are a nice rod. good for rough ground but they had problems with coming to bits, they seemed to unwrap about two foot down the tip. apart from that they are really nice rods
they are quite an old rod, late 90's, but a good rod never the less and one of the nicest conoflex have done.
i think at the time conoflex had just got it wrong, they had a few that went a bit dodgey, the megaton and oblivion to name a few. but they have obviously sorted it out now.
i think the rakata that you have now has stood the test of time so its safe to say its gonna stay intact lol.
they are a really nice rod though when they stay together
just use it and abuse it and see how it goes ive got a century tip tornado grand prix that got a really bad write up when they were on sale but i wouldnt part with it its fished in norway 6 years running and ive had no bother with it. so enjoy your new rod and make your own mind up how good it is
