Couple of hours at Hebburn

Fished Church Bank today from 10.30 till about 13.00. I caught two eels and one flatty and my son got one eel and three flatties, not bad in only two hours or so. All of the fish were caught with fresh crab and 2/0 hooks although we lost most of the hooks in the flatties as they had practically swallowed them. (must have been hungry). Couldn't even get the hooks out with a disgorger which usually works fine.
Sorry no pics as we were too busy trying to retrieve hooks and rid ourselves of eel slime. All of the flatties were a decent size, one Plaice and three Flounder and the eels were also a healthy size with plenty of fight in them. We had a bite with every cast we made and managed to connect with most of them.
My son got his revenge after being beaten 3-0 last Friday at the Walkway where again the crab seemed to be the only bait the flatties and coalies would take. Crab is the bait on the Tyne at the minute, off for some more of them tonight, fridge is looking a bit empty for the weekend.

He's 19 so not quite a kid, but he used to really hammer me when he was younger!
As for the Plaice, It looked like one to me. Could be wrong though,I know there has been a wee bit of debate about it lately.Runs and hides

As my missus always says they are always our our babies lol, aye my lads 12 now and I get it all the time lol. He is on a 3 session blank now so has kept his gob shut, touch wood he is catching again soon.
