crab cart

Looks like there is going to be a bit of northerly blowing next week so might be some decent fish on the horizon
Anyone know where to buy decent already made up crab cart? either buy mail or preferably local pick up
I did try to make some up myself a while back that was a unmitigated disaster (kitchen stunk for weeks afterwards)
Tried some of ebay that was garbage
I have seen some really good fish caught on this bait so wouldn't mind some to stock up the freezer

I asked in Whitby Angling Centre where they get there CART from and they said "a place in Hartlepool". I got the vibes they didn't welcome any further questions on the subject. Any ideas ?
 
I wouldn't buy anything pre made you don't know what goes into it doddle to make fresh mate

I can get the raw ingredients no probs but what a f*ck up i made of it last time! it ended up looking like a mix of something that comes out of the back end after a heavy session on the Guinness and didnt smell much better either:eek:
i couldnt get the consistency right it was leaking everywhere before i could get it anywhere near the freezer

So by saying sausage casing you mean intestines? as far as i am aware all old school sausage skins are intestine jobs?
My lass is going to love me tipping up with the innards of a crab and porky trying to make a bait sausage

Do what you done then sieve it bid then add a bit salt add it bit by bit till you get a right consistency

ok so salt it a bit like makky?
any bread crumbs? that just made it sloppy when i tried it
It looked like it needed something to firm it up, suppose salt is going to suck the moisture out but its pretty wet to start with
 
dont bother mixing mine. a bit like watering down beer.

as for consistency, like phil says sieve it down. the water will flow out.

Not really any further forward like, apart from (salt and sieve??) sausage skins (intestines??)
If anyone thats had any success making it themselves could tell me there way of doing it? or where to buy it made up, within driving distance from Sunderland would be good.
