Crab hill?

Can this mark be fished on small tides?thinking about getting out tonight for a few hours down to low water maybe couple up,not sure yet.basically just trying to think of somewhere in the whitley/cullercoats area.cheers for any replies.

If you're talking about the South Crab Hill then only if you're a strong swimmer Jordy. Since they took the pipe out it's lowered the crossing by a good two feet and probably knocked an hour off the time you get on there.
If it's the North Crab Hill then only if you know your way across and, I suspect, there's probably too much sea on at the moment.

I would say stay away from north crab hill if you've never fished it mate. Fish it during the day and get to know it before venturing on in the dark. It's a mark you can easily be cut off on.

I found it fishes best on bigger tides as the sea dying right off ;-)

Might be worth a chuck off Crawleys (just across the bay from the Hill) by the rock bathing-pool, or perhaps the Old Pipe End somewhere along the rocks - looks like the sea has calmed a lot since yesterday, but still a nice bit of movement. Thinking of heading down Blyth Beach myself later - some nice fish to be had in similar conditions last week.

Thanks for all the advice lad`s.Did`nt try crab hill after your posts about, it did try crawley`s though had one undersize coalie and that was it lol.still enjoyed it though.Thanks once again for the sound advice.
