Crabs and there eggs.

Hello Lads had a day down the Pool today with my son and his mate. Hit on a massive low tide. Thought i would try for a few Peelers. No luck with the Peelers but found loads of these. Also found loads of baby eater crabs and some baby Lobsters. All left safe.

bit early for peelers, the rivers are always better too.

I read some where that if you take hard-crabs home and keep them in fresh sea-water at room temperature. they begin to peel after a week or so. the warm water speeds up the process.(remember a pump and to change the water regularly)
dont know if this is true but i might give it a try

berried hens mate,should all be left to do what there supposed to do,make the next peelers in 4-5 Years time.

Aye she,s ma bitch. I wanted a dog because i thought it would be tougher.
But ended up with a bitch cos me lad fell in love with her when she was a pup. To me honest my hearts in my mouth every time another dog comes sniffing round her. She can be a right handfull.

im at a loss why you would want a tough dog.
family pets and companions is the reason ive had staffs

sorry but it is not true,you can take crab that are just starting to peel ie wateries as we call them and they will come on in a tank, but not always

Thanks redrock you just save me a lot of wasted time. think i will stick to the old fashioned way and freeze them down when the time comes. seems like a big project with pumps and water changing and all. with 3 kids i just dont have the time,but they can help find craBs
it would be great if one could train dogs to find peeler-crabs, like a narcotics-dog only trained to sniff out peeling crabs

no problem ronvik,put it this way the person that discovers how to make a hard back crab peel will be a rich man over night
