Cracking day on the North Star

Left hartlepool this morning and after yesterday expectations weren't high.
With only 2 regulars on board we didn't venture to far and the plan was for me to fish also but I just didn't have time from the first drop the fish started coming over the side every drift produced fish with some good fish being lost on the way up. Anyway we ended up with 22 cod to keep heaviest cod 9 lb 10oz that is leading the northstar comp at the moment caught by Stevie and 1 ling 12lb we returned plenty of fish unharmed to fight another day

cracking catch Jim. especially so early in the season. signs of a good season I hope.
strong winds forecast for the weekend, typical:mad:

Dammit, we should have been on that trip, but had to cancel holiday!

Great day Jim, looks a fantastic catch. Did I really read correctly that our Steve is leading the heaviest fish comp?? OMG, I will never hear the end of it!!

See you in July! :)

Hi Mark
Yes you read correctly Steve is leading and I think he did mention your name when he pulled it in

I bet he did, ha! Mind you he sent me a PM about another matter tonight and didn't mention it. Very modest!

I am sure he will have some fun at my expense though. I need to up my game!

Well done Jim, looks like a good day out.

Things starting to warm up now fish wise,

If that weekend wind would just play ball now ....

And Duncan and Chris were mentioned, but going by the couple fish that were
lost on the retrieve when the rods were bent double, 9lb 10oz wont stand as leader for long, real good day out with plenty laughs and fish, cheers Jim.
