Crap Session at Jarrow 19/01/12

Fished off the back of the pedestrian tunnel last night up to and over high water from 9pm until 2am. There was a good wind blowing but the wall provided decent shelter. I used two rods (one out and one close in) using various combinations of rag, lug, calamari, mussel, razor and mackeral for bait and a seascenter grip lead stuffed with mashed sardines on one of the rods. The rats were out in force and scurring about all over the place some squeeking loudly very close by. I only managed one small whiting all night caught at about 11pm and was very bored by 2am so packed up even though I still had bait left which is unheard of for me as I usually stay out untill the small hours until I've used it all up. Still at least I didn't blank

we fished from 6pm - 10pm to the right of you and blanked, baits coming back stripped each cast. The other 2 lads fishing with us stayed longer but had blanked also up untill we left. Crabs were out in force

Aye I saw you lads fishing there. Crabs took most of my bait too and even stripped a whole squid in about ten minutes which I thought was impressive

i was using whole squid aswell, hooks coming back bare!
