hello lads, im going to take my son fishing up craster in the morning , its a long time since I was there and his first time as an adult. is it still ok to walk through without charge with your rod at the castle to get to the deeper water? is there anywhere else to fish nearby . we are taking a beach caster and bait also a spinning rod and spinners/feathers. cheers

There's plenty of parking just outside the harbour and a few minute walk to the harbour.

Let us know how you get on as I'm heading up there week after next.

hi jim , we had a good day for only one small Pollock caught . talking to other anglers on the cliff they had faired a little better catching a couple of mackerel each. we are going to have another trip up in a couple of weeks, does anyone have the name of the campsite that's near dunstanburgh castle ?

When we fished dunstanbrugh we were letting the spinners go as deep as we could without getting snagged, slow retrieve and it was pretty much none stop action with pollock and coalies.
