Fished early hours of sat morning to use what bait I had left off fishing the howdiment sands(blanked)and within minutes it nearly payer off with a huge bite that nearly pulled my rod into the sea but on striking at it I must pull the hook out its mouth!!! I retreaved my line to find my single 6/0 hook masked by my squid bait,next cast on with the pennel and another huge bite and this time I hooked the bugger only for it to snag me up but after giving it some line it freed itself and I managed to land my 2nd 8lb fish of the season.Got another 1 out 2lb then went home and slept in for the makem game result ha

cheers Phil,turned out to be a good winter for me,learning all the time still and being able to drive places now has helped massive.
