Cresswell beach tonight ?

Was going to fish Cresswell beach tonight but the grandson wants to come with me. He hasn`t done a lot of fishing (only been 4 times) and so I am thinking of fishing Amble pier instead. The grandson is only 13 and I don`t know if he could cope with a night session on the beach. Is it worth going to Amble or should I stick to Cresswell ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Just realised I put this on the catch reports page, sorry about that.

Well said, you could be fishing next to someone, using same baits, methods, 1 could catch the other blank ! give it a go no matter what people say.

Fair comment, but after blanking or catching next to nowt 10 times in a row, and not seeing anything worthwhile caught by anybody then I think it's time to cross if off your hotspots list....IMO.

Thanks for all the advice. Took grandson to beach as it was a really nice evening. Started fishing about 2 hours before high water and into fish straightaway. Only small coalies and flounder to start, but as tide neared its peak the grandson had a cracking bite and pulled in a small bass around 1 1/2 lb, then it went quiet for about an hour as the tide turned, before we started getting a few small coalies again. Eventually left the beach around midnight as the young`un was starting to feel a bit tired.
Total fish caught :-- Me. 2 flounder and 5 coalies.
Grandson. 1 bass, 1 flounder, 1 turbot and 4 coalies.
All fish returned safely
The lad was really pleased with his first session in the dark and now he can`t wait to go again.
I took some pictures of the fish but haven`t worked out how to post them.
