cresswell help

can anyone give me some help trying to fish around the cresswell area? preferably beach, not to keen on going on the rocks yet. any help would be appreciated, pm if u like. cheers ! looking to improve on the one cod that ive caught this year !

behind the icecream shop you have cresswell carrs. you have the beach to the north and the private beach and rocky marks to the south. there is a small car park between the buildings, (near icecream shop) walk down onto the beach preferably at low water and you have the carrs infront of you. get on that and cast towards north east onto CLEANER ground.

a better mark is to the right, you will see a pipe this is a good shot (more snaggy) or you have the 'gut' nearby

south of the private beach is good, could go on forever.

I've fished just to the left of the carrs at low water on the beach on a few occasions and have had some excellent bags. From my experience, a dying south easterly sea is best and lug tipped with razor can be deadly. I've also had the odd few bass turn up here - biggest 3lb. Biggest cod I've had from there is 8lb, but have seen others up to 15lb. Hope this helps.
