fished the seaton sluice open today.

was 1st on creswell carrs.
fished into the weed at the south, had a few rattles.
swell was canny big.

moved up to the north of the carrs, had a few chucks there.
my rod came / fell off the stand but nothing came of it.

moved back to the south, managed 1 cod 1lb7oz, also managed to hang 3 fish in the heavy weed

Wey you tried mate, same as me, it was hard work today, lots of good anglers didnt do much. You need abit of luck about you to get anywhere aswell as fishing to the best standard, no luck today.

Done better than me today mate, sure mine would have been undersize when I got it back - only bite of the day as well. Swells were getting bigger as the day went on; too big I think for the Beacons. Shame as it was well flat last night - thought it would have been perfect

Well done on getting some fish out lads. Seems like there are loads of smaller codling around at the moment.

totally agree. walking along to the beacons at 7.30 this morning it looked pretty flat, then the swells came out of the blue.
if I knew the conditions prior to the event i would of been at bog hall.
always the same.......
