Creswell flats 14/10/07

Fished the Whitley open today at the flat rocks(north cresswell). One bite and no fish to show. My mate had nowt either. This is my third open in a row with no fish to show for it. Went to the weigh in to see what had been caught, heaviest bag i saw was 19lb (all wrasse). Heaviest fish i saw was 6lb 11 oz.

Noticed Paul Westmoreland was carrying what looked like a heavy fish bag... not sure who won though! Quite a few people with fish when I left at 3.30.

Been speaking to a few people and it sounds like it was a bit quiet fish wise. Some nice fish taken on Blyth beach on friday night.

Just moved to the area recently after spending the last 25yrs living in & fishing the Co Durham beaches... as you can probably imagine Im having a bit of a mare up here trying to get re-established with new mark's etc so trundled down to the Ridley Hotel in Blyth and joined Blyth SAC hoping to gain some local knowledge by joining in the comps etc, seem like a good bunch of lads and I should make my first match with them this week after finally completing my stint of night shift at work, will post any catch reports.
