Cullercoats/Blyth pier 20/9/08

[Defective]

Me and 2 mates tried Cullercoats prom last night. Got there for about 6-45 tried all sorts of bait and all that we got was one eel for Tom. Shifted up to Blyth pier around 9 ish and it wasnt much better for a couple of hours. Around 11ish i got a whiting in size then about 20 past eleven after missing one good bite i got another straight away and brought this beauty in



First one ive caught on this side of the country packed up after that and went home happy about 11-45ish. Baits used were peeler, mussel,squid black lug ,rag and lug. With squid beening the best of the lot on the night.

nice fish mate and pic i caught one of roker peir last season i was chuffed to bits something different to catch thanks for the report lads

Wow No way! i check dates and i was fishing on the cambois pier at the end where the light house is... and i swear i heard acouple of splashes on the blyth pier side, then 10mins later i saw a big fish hangin from the railins! must of been you then mate congrats! i caught 1 codling first of the year about 1lb pic below, mind pick was taken when i was shaking lol such a buzz after catchin it lol so pic is blured abit:

Dunno really, first pountin for me so i was shocked wen it was'nt a codling

Cant wait for the big strong winds to come and bigger tides!!!

theres been a few pouting caught off roker pier as well.
