Fished Cullercoats harbour (south side, only one other angler on the other side,who moved from the warriors and fished goatsies.) I fished for the first two hours of the flood, using lug, rag, runnydown and frozen crab, sea conditions loverly, just was too sunny (could of done with it being a bit overcast)... not a sniff, then just as I was thinking about to packing up, whilst holding the rod as i always do, came the most voracious bite I've encountered in a long time. That kept me there for another half hour freshening my bait again. but it just never came back. start my shifts again tommorrow, so another week till I'm back out.
