Cullercoats New Species For Me :D

Well lads, Thanks to all of you who showed your support. This was a one of the most amazing fish ive caught on rod and line from the north east coast.

To be honest lobsterman i couldn't give a crap what you think. You can stay there on your little pedestal believe what you want to believe mate. But this fish was caught on rod and line. I could argue the toss with you all day long mate but fact of the matter is this fish is alive, this fish was caught on rod and line, it was a bitch to take the photo as it kept going nuts, and it was returned safely. And if you don't want to believe that don't... But keep your opinions to yourself in future yeah? Because i cannot be bothered with individuals such as yourself...

Cheers Andy for identifying it mate, my biology teacher today confirmed it with his wife (Works for DEFRA) and it definatley a rays bream. So cheers for that mate :)

(FAO Blanked Again): When we next out Davy? We going pig Hunting?

no sly coment at all, as you said, you already no exactly what i am going to say........

your only cheating your self ......... :)

oh and my opinion is ....... you didnt catch this, ive lost count with how many people say they have caught these fish when they have found them washed up.

yav even made your pic look more relistic with your fish grabber in its mouth ha ha.

i wont coment on this anymore now. pm me if you like.

lobsterman tbh mate the last person on here i would say would lie would be dean he caught it end ov story

Brilliant mate, Well done, Just by the smiley face you can see its a genuine catch in my opinion and I don't think Dean of most people is the type of person to lie about such a thing, By seeing his past posts and catch reports he seems to have quite a lot of integrity..again well done :D

This fairly substantial-sized bream is common all around the coast of Britain and Ireland depending upon the season. In mid-summer they can be found off the coast of Ireland, and by autumn they will have travelled to Scotland.
It can reach lengths of almost 70cm, but typically an adult Ray’s bream will be around the 50cm mark, and around 7lb.
They live in the open sea, in mid-water, at depths of around 80m.

Identifying ray's bream

This is a deep-bodied fish that narrows towards the tail. It has very small scales that are quite smooth.
Colouration is dark green/brown across the back with silver flanks. The pectoral fins are yellow.
The dorsal and anal fins are long and low to the body. The first ray of these fins is the longest.
Its tail is long too and sharply concave.

Ray's bream feeding

Ray’s bream feed on an array of crustaceans and fishes – basically whatever they find in abundance, from sprats and herring to crabs and crustaceans.

dean get ya badge mate

I just read a very similar article on how there caught and what they feed on. You cant just say or insinuate the lad didn't catch it if he says he did. Am sure he knows he would only be cheating himself of he did do what ur implying and having met the lad he really dosn't seem like someone that'd dee sumit like that. You seem very bitter or jealous towards people that catch these fish lobsterman. Maybe ur jealous or have continplated the idea urself before after finding one washed up, who knows!

Well done on ur catch lad and gan get one of them badges...

No probs buddy, happy to help. :)

Just glad to see you sticking up for yourself, who ever LOBSTER-MAN is well never know, but concidering he owns a potting boat he's probably one of those tight arse ****s who thinks he owns the sea and knows everything... wrong.

Besides you only seem to see rays bream washes up on beaches, there Isnt a spec of sand on your fish, and I and many others stand by you knowing that you did catch it on rod and line. ;)

Maybe he will just stay on WSF where he belongs, and keep his ranting over there instead. of on here 99.9% of the time... its a genuine catch report, not a bloomin criminal investigation....

some people need to just keep there thoughts to themselves if hes lying hes only kidding himself so who cares, personally i think 99% of us believe him and your the 1% that doesnt. good fish man id be buzzing about that for months if it were my fish:D

I cant understand how anyone could question someone else's integrity when they dont even know the person!!! Very strange.
We will video each other every time we reel in now just in case someone says "bollox, you never caught that":D:D:D

Shows a total lack of respect for an honest, popular member of the forum.
Look at all the hard graft for no reward that Dean put in with the hoodies.
Doesn't seem like the work of a liar and a cheat to me.
