Was in a quandry last night about where to fish as it has been shocking lately
Ive had 4 blanks in a row so after hearing of a few fish further north decided on Cullernose up Craster got there for 6pm low water 7.15pm tried the middle of the side and off the point to no avail then as the tide pushed up we set up right on the top baited with frozen runnydown got a really good cast blasted out from the top had a couple of small knocks then the rod went over result was a nice 5lb 4oz cod then after that about 10pm last cast got a fish just over size about 1lb 4oz just pleased to get a couple of fish and hope this gives other lads hope, oh and they had sandeel in them so that proves a point hmmm.

Well done Ivan, excellent result especially the way things have been. Me and Wally tried whitley Bay, we didn't get a bite between us and we were using fresh blacks.

Good effort!

Well done Ivan,

One of my favourite marks, there is no middle-ground with that place as in its either fishing or not! I have had some of my biggest bags from there and seen numerours yarkers dropped off, a fair few landed as well if you can get them over that shelf halfway down the point and grab them! Thats what I did with my brothers doubler the other year off there. I am still gutted I couldn't fish last night but I didn't fancy spending the night in my car!

Graham.
