I went out with two friends from work today, Bernard a really experienced angler and Chopper only the second time he been fishing we used an assortment of bait, black lug, rag worm, prawn and bluey.
We got there about 1.30 (HT 16.45)
I managed four coley one a keeper and an undersized lobsterall in the first hour and a half, chopper got a small codling straight away and after an hour caught a Lump Sucker somewhere between 1 1/2 and 2 lbs, he also managed another little codling at 18.30, the other lad Bernard wasn't doing great, one tiny codling before HT and then at 19.30 when we were reeling into go home he managed a treble on a three hook flapper with short snoods, a coley just about to size ( thrown back ) a small codling and to my suprise a really good sized place somewhere close to 45cm and well over a lb.
Didn't think there would be any flatties around there, so that was a pleasant suprise, in all a cracking day with a couple of interesting catches.
Only had 2 proper snags were we lost rigs, we did manage to drag in a couple of other peoples lost rigs so only down one sinker.
Really good day had by all.
