hi,
does anyone know if cullernose point is fishing. thinking of having a run up on monday, iv\'e sort of got an idea how to get there but can i walk it from craster, only asking because i have only fished north of craster
cheers

mark :D

Yes you can walk from Craster but that is the long way mate. Follow the coastal road from Craster past the sharp left hand bend ,past the farm on the left and look for an sos phone on the left..parking opposite .Simply follow the footpath along to the mark ..easy peasy

heard a few fish were caught there last week when we had a bit sea runnin ...If ya going via the a1 and not the costal route as you approaching craster village turn right towards longhoughton about a mile down the road you will see a layby opposite a public footpath park there (with caution) and follow the public footpath towards craster youll see cullernose point straight away...the other option is to park in craster itself (next to the park)and follow the public footpath heading right canny walk but its safer for the car

aye paul i know where you mean, i think i will take the second option for safe parking. i dont mind the walk as i am used to parking in the wrong place and walking miles anyway lol, its a longer walk back to morpeth if someone nicks my motor :o

iv\'e heard of too many horror stories of lads lasses retuning to find car gone, dammaged or cars being burnt out t**s ! lol, sorry watching scary movie 3

I have heard of quite a few people getting there cars either nicked or broken into at the layby even during daylight so probably a good option ...be carefull !!! apparantley you get a few freak waves there and a few people have been swept off ..it might also pay you to take some light gear with ya if the seas flat its a good shot for mackrell and pollack

cheers paul i might do that. still not sure where i am going yet but got the day off so may as well do a bit fishing. see what time i get up on monday

jim i know what you mean but unfortunatley a lot of the marks are out of the way of good safe carparks so that sometimes means a good hike, like i said earlier better safe than sorry and the walk will keep us all fit, maybe! lol :D

Be careful if ANY sea is running, the sea surges way up, and as its so deep, you don\'t see it coming until its on top of you.

no chance she will be out for a drink, anyway just got a new second hand toyota surf and ya wanna see her driving :o :o :o lol
she says she would come fishing if there was a pub close at hand so she could just watch with a drink in her hand.
